Now, Once upon a time there was a girl who really loved wolves it was me shirt. The main idea behind the show is that there are beings in our world that are a different species from humans, they are called Wesen, and within the Wesen world there are different types of "monsters", some more dangerous and deadly, some more benign. In the show, the fairy tales we were told were actually stories that were passed on about these monsters. So the "Wolf" from Red Riding Hood is actually a Wesen, a very real being that inhabits our world and definitely not fiction.
